Download gallery pics/vids with one click!

DownThemAll is an awesome free Firefox extension that lets you download all the pictures and/or videos that a page links to, with a click. It only downloads from links that are part of a series, so it won’t pick up banner ads etc, and its also got a built in download accelerator!

I’ve been using it for a while now and it gets a big thumbs up from me 🙂

I have had this extension for a while…..and not figured out how to use it.

Its easy to use once you get used to it…

    1. Set up your download rules – Open ‘DownThemAll’ and choose what types of files you want to save and where you want to save them (using the options in the lower part of the screen.) Once you’re done, click on the window’s close button.

    2. Set your preferences – Open the ‘Preferences screen.’ Everything should be set up ready to go from the start but you may want to change a couple of settings. Under the ‘main’ heading you can choose ‘Max contemorary downloads’ – I usually set this to max. Under the ‘advanced’ tab, there’s a ‘max chunks per download’ setting, again, you probably want this at max (as long as your connection’s fast enough, choosing the max settings means faster downloads.) Once you’re done, click ‘OK’.

    3. Go get your files – open a page you want to download pictures from, e.g http://www.superiorpics.com/cheryl_ladd/pictures1.html Right-click (or go through the tools menu) and click ‘DtaOneClick.’ **Some pages are written in ways that block DownThemAll from ‘seeing’ the links on the page and you get a message saying ‘no link or picture found’ then DTA opens. All going well though, a download window will open and you can watch the progress of downloads, cancel unwanted ones etc.

Thanks, I’ll have to make a point of setting it up then.
